What is the best time of year to visit Brussels?
For most travelers, summer is the best time. Especially if you don’t like the cold, since the temperatures are pleasant without being excessively hot. But the Belgian capital also has great charm in winter, although the damp cold can make it less enjoyable for some visitors.
If we are a large group, can we make several separate bookings?
Everyone who knows each other should make a single booking. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee your place on the guided walk.
What to do in Brussels?
A free walking tour is a great way to start. Guides will take you through the historic center, tell you stories about the city, and help you get oriented for the rest of your visit. There are tours of the center, the European Quarter, and even night tours about mysteries.
The Cinquantenaire Park is huge — 30 hectares where people picnic, play sports, and relax. It features an impressive triumphal arch and three museums inside: the Army Museum, Autoworld (classic cars), and the Art & History Museum.
If you like comics, Brussels is your city. There are more than 60 murals painted on façades featuring Tintin, Lucky Luke, the Smurfs, and other characters. It’s like an open-air museum. There’s also the Comic Book Museum if you want to explore further.
Mont des Arts offers the best views of the city, especially at sunset. It’s free and you can see the Town Hall tower and all of lower Brussels. There are terraced gardens where you can sit and relax.
The Royal Palace opens only in summer, from July 21 to early September. Entry is free, and you can see impressive rooms like the Throne Room or the Mirror Room, whose ceiling is decorated with over a million Thai beetles.
The terraces of the Galeries Saint-Hubert are perfect for dinner or drinks at night. These were the first covered shopping arcades in Europe, and the atmosphere is very elegant. In Brussels Park, there are also open-air concerts in summer.
